The cats then understood the trick of the monkey and asked him to return the rest. But the monkey claimed it as his reward and ate it. Thus, the cats lost everything because of their greed and foolishness.

The two cats became very sad and ashamed. They realized that their greed and quarrel caused their loss. If they had shared the cake peacefully, both could have enjoyed it. Sadly, they left the place with empty stomachs.
