A greedy farmer completing story for class 6,7,8, SSC & HSC

Once there lived a poor farmer with his wife in a small village. They lived a very simple life and often worried about money. One day, the farmer bought a goose from the market. To his great surprise, the goose laid a golden egg every morning. The farmer sold the egg and gradually became richer. After a few months, the farmer became greedy. He thought that the goose must have many golden eggs inside its belly. He wanted to become rich overnight instead of waiting for one egg every day. 

His wise wife advised him not to be greedy and to remain satisfied with what they had. But the farmer ignored her advice. The next day, he killed the goose and cut open its belly. Sadly, he found no golden eggs inside. He lost the wonderful goose forever. Then he realized his foolish mistake, but it was too late. He repented deeply for his greed.
